A new arrival on the Horizon: Welcome ABI!

We’re big believers in return to work strategies. And the Association of British Insurers are showing everyone how it’s done!

The ABI is the voice of the UK’s world leading insurance and long-term savings industry. Founded in 1985, it provides peace of mind to businesses across the UK and today supports over 250 member companies.

The organisation is united in a shared belief that the best thing about the ABI is the people and recruiting, retaining and supporting talented individuals naturally is a priority.

So, we’d like to give a very big welcome and shoutout to our new client the Association of British Insurers!

For the growing number of people taking parental leave there are two facts: stepping out of the business is the easy part… Coming back is trickier!

As an employer,  in addition to their extensive employee benefits package, health and wellbeing initiatives, and enhanced parental leave policies, the ABI is now supporting its new and expecting employees with specialist coaching designed to help families to transition to parental leave and return with confidence – thinking through both sides of the equation.

So, what’s on offer for working parents going through the parental transition or adding to a growing family?

  • Parental Leave Toolkit. A digital coaching platform that delivers the benefits and focus of parent transition coaching for both managers and individuals, in a mobile app.
  • 1:1 coaching programme. A face to face, tailored coaching programme, providing professional and personal development and support for working parents pre, during and post leave.

Emma Phillips, Assistant Director, Head of HR at the ABI shared that “the ABI is committed to making the transition for working parents as easy as possible, and this is why we are very pleased to be working with Bright Horizons to provide this valuable support and guidance for our colleagues”.

In their most recent employee survey, the three most frequently used words were friendly, inclusive and collaborative – and we couldn’t agree more!

We’re so proud to be working with you, the ABI, truly ‘a place for people who care about influencing positive change’.
