Shefali Gera, Emea Head Of Diversity & Inclusion And Wellness At Goldman Sachs

Shefali is responsible for developing, managing and driving Wellness-related initiatives including policies and programming, and the diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives related to fostering an inclusive culture and the retention and advancement of diverse professionals.

Shefali joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 where she spent three years on the trading floor before leaving the firm to embark on a graduate entry medical programme, qualifying as a doctor in 2006. She subsequently completed her MBA in London in 2008 and moved to Singapore. In 2010 she relocated to London to re-join Goldman Sachs in Human Capital Management. Shefali is on the Alumni Board at Cass Business School, London and an Ally Board member of the P3 Network.

Katie Russell, Employment Partner, Burges Salmon LLP

Katie provides businesses with advice on the full range of employment law matters, including redundancy and restructuring, senior executive exits, disciplinary and grievance, employment tribunal claims and TUPE transfers.

Katie also writes and presents regularly on employment law developments, as well as delivering training to clients. She currently sits on the Employment Lawyer’s Association Working Party examining the impact of Covid-19 on employment law and working practices.

Ros Marshall

Ros Marshall, Managing Director Uk, Bright Horizons

Ros Marshall joined Bright Horizons as UK Managing Director in January 2020. She brings extensive experience to the role and in-depth understanding of how to deliver exceptional care and education where each child feels welcomed and valued as an individual, and is nurtured by passionate and talented early years practitioners.

Prior to joining Bright Horizons, Ros held senior leadership positions in national and international early childhood, primary and secondary schools including Nord Anglia Education, kidsunlimited and most recently Taaleem, one of the largest groups of private international schools in the UAE.

Ros has three grown-up daughters and lives in Gloucestershire with her husband.

Denise Priest, Director Of Employer Partnerships, Bright Horizons UK

Denise’s focus is on developing meaningful and strategic relationships with organisations at leadership level across a range of different disciplines. Having joined Bright Horizons in 1997 Denise pioneered back-up care in the UK from its initial conception in 2006. Today, her leadership encompasses growing our portfolio of services and adding value to our clients in the UK and internationally.

Since its launch in the UK in 2005, Denise serves as a Director of the Bright Horizons Foundation charity, whose mission is to make a difference to children experiencing crisis through the creation of safe, nurturing places to play and heal from trauma.

Jennifer Liston-Smith, Head Of Thought Leadership, Bright Horizons UK

For over 20 years, Jennifer has been relentless in pursuit of innovation, identifying, defining and sharing best practice and ‘next practice’ for leading global employers in flexible working, family-friendly and wellbeing programmes, closing the gender pay gap and promoting gender-inclusive parenting.

She now focuses on identifying overarching trends through research and through advising employers and translating these insights into solutions and practical actions. She is a sought-after speaker, writer, conference moderator and consultant on these topics and more.
