JUGGLING WORK, SCHOOL AND ONGOING UNCERTAINTY:
INSIGHTS FOR EMPLOYERS INTO WORKING PARENTS’ NEEDS AND CONCERNS

In Bright Horizons Autumn 2020 survey of over 400 working parents, our aim was to take a ‘temperature check’ (if we still dare use that expression figuratively) as UK schools returned.
By early September 2020 working parents had experienced over 6 months of what one participant described as ‘juggling and rejuggling’ through the extreme double-shifts of work and care during lockdown and now a new schedule of working around uncertain or shortened school timetables.
