Even so, they are still impacted by disruptions to caregiving responsibilities, which can lead to absence from work, either physically or mentally. Concerns about their children are on the rise, and there is a growing expectation for employers to provide support. Additionally, many employees are increasingly turning to their employers for assistance with pet care and adult or eldercare.

As part of the 2025 Modern Families Index survey of 3,000 UK working parents and carers, this report presents insights from insurance sector respondents, highlighting ways employers can enhance productivity and retain talented employees.
