Case Study: Robert Gordon University's Workplace Nursery

Robert Gordon University is an innovative, accessible, impactful and professionally-minded university, who are internationally renowned for their modern, forward-thinking approach to higher education providing practical, vocational and experienced learning and ultimately changing higher education for the better.

In 2004 Robert Gordon University had a 24 place workplace nursery for the sole use of the university staff and students, which was managed by the university itself. This was becoming burdensome on university resources and also hampering the potential of the nursery. A more spacious building was available on the campus and it was felt that a larger nursery would be desirable, but only viable with specialist support from a trusted external partner. Following tender and contract negotiations, Bright Horizons was appointed to assume management of the nursery and to transition the service to a new dedicated building expanded to 99 places and available to the local community.

Discover why Robert Gordon University chose Bright Horizons to operate and provide exceptional care and education to the university’s staff, students and the local community.
